Job description
Our client, a leading provider in the water sector, is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in Manchester. This is a hybrid contract position focused on projects within Water Treatment Works and Sewage Treatment Works in the UU region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking structural design and analysis for water treatment projects
- Providing technical expertise at Engineer, Senior, or Principal level
- Utilising software tools such as Staadpro and Tekla Tedds for design and analysis
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Participating in site visits to ensure design integrity and functionality
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation for project stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in structural engineering, particularly within the water sector
- Proficiency in structural design software such as Staadpro and Tekla Tedds
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
