Job description
Our client, a prominent player within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Principal Engineer - Systems Engineering (Process, Governance & Maturity) for a contract position based in Barrow, with hybrid working options available. This role is part of the cutting-edge Submarine Solutions division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and agree technical changes in accordance with company and programme processes
- Generate, capture, configure, and control process documentation in line with company standards
- Produce design changes and documentation in accordance with company protocols
- Ensure engineering lifecycle management (LCM) adherence for all deliverables
- Provide relevant input to project LCM activities
- Utilise configuration management experience to guide other engineers and supporting members
Job Requirements:
- Significant knowledge and expertise in Configuration Management toolsets, processes, and practices within the defence, maritime, or closely related industries
- Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, with experience in the relevant phase
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and lifecycles
- Experience in a comparable industry sector
- Security Clearance requirement: BPSS + SC
