Job description

Our client, is currently seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their dedicated team in Bermondsey. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in leading drainage and infrastructure projects across various sectors including residential, landscape, national trust, public realm, and industrial ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing drainage and infrastructure projects from concept to completion
• Utilising Microdrainage and Civil3D software to develop efficient and innovative solutions
• Overseeing the design and implementation of SuDS and retrofitting projects
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes
• Engaging with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Ensuring all project work complies with relevant codes and standards
• Preparing and presenting detailed technical reports and proposals

Job Requirements:

• Strong experience in civil engineering with a focus on drainage and infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in Microdrainage and Civil3D software
• In-depth understanding of SuDS, highway, and civil engineering principles
• Excellent project management and leadership abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
