Job description

Our client BAE Systems, a prominent player in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Senior Project Controller for a contract position. This role, based in Barrow with hybrid working arrangements, involves significant contributions to the development and infrastructure of high-value projects within the defence industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing project controls including risk, cost, change, and planning
• Managing the build of facilities for submarine construction
• Contributing to the redevelopment of the town centre
• Handling extensive projects valued at approximately £5 billion
• Utilising P6 and SAP software for project management

Job Requirements:

• Experience in project controls within the construction or engineering sectors
• Proficiency with project management tools such as P6 and SAP
• Background in construction with an understanding of MOD stipulations (EVM)
• Security Clearance (SC) is highly desirable
• Strong organisational and communication skills

Role Details:

• Contract duration: 6 months with potential for extension or permanent placement
• Location: Barrow with hybrid working (minimum 2 days on-site)
• Security level: SC required
