Job description

Our client, a leading consultancy in the rail and highways sector, is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join their team in Glasgow on a temp to perm contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and assessing various bridge structures using industry-standard software, such as Lusas
• Conducting structural analyses and evaluations to ensure the safety and integrity of bridge projects
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil engineering aspects into rail and highway projects
• Preparing detailed engineering reports and technical documents
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Participating in site inspections and providing technical support during project implementation
• Contributing to the development of innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
• Maintaining and enhancing client relationships through effective communication and project management

Job Requirements:

• Experience in bridge and structural engineering within the rail and highways sectors
• Proficiency in using Lusas for structural analysis and design
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
• Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective team collaboration and communication abilities
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
