Job description

Our client, a leading consultancy in the data centre construction sector, is currently seeking an MEP Commissioning Manager to join their dynamic team in Finland. The company specialises in providing turnkey data centre solutions, delivering services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical services as well as commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management and supervision of Cx Package engineers
  • Setting work scopes
  • Monitoring and managing the delivery of scopes
  • Communicating deadlines and Cx programme milestones
• Managing project Cx Programme including milestone and deadline management
• Ensuring familiarisation and compliance with contract documents and procedures
• Planning and managing Vendor FAT/FWT with possible attendance if necessary
• Managing CFCI and OFCI vendors' CX Scope
• Communicating with all Cx stakeholders
• Attending and providing input to daily/weekly Cx meetings, both internally and with vendors and clients
• Forming, updating, and submitting Cx progress and technical reports to line managers
• Coordinating and aligning with Project QAQC and AP departments to achieve common objectives
• Managing, delivering, and obtaining approval on relevant project Cx documents such as test scripts and compliance statements
• Managing the receipt, review, and compliance of project Cx documentation to achieve the necessary CX level sign-off
• Acting as the single point of contact for management and reporting on the planning and execution of scopes and deliverables
• Identifying, documenting, and managing the construction phase deliverables of the relevant systems
• Reporting bi-weekly progress through respective design, procurement, execution, and handover phases
• Coordinating with the client on snagging and handover
• Facilitating, coaching, and aiding in the scheduling of the installation and site onboarding (H&S, method statements etc.)
• Ensuring health and safety compliance

Job Requirements:

• Relevant certificates in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a trade with relevant training and experience
• A process-driven approach with a focus on EHS and quality work management systems and processes
• Ability to solve problems analytically and act decisively
• Experience in a similar role within a construction environment, with experience in commercial, industrial, pharma, or data centre type projects is desirable
