Job description

Security level - The role requires you to obtain a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check.

BAE - Maritime Services is currently seeking a VHDL & Electronics Development Lead to join their team on a contract basis for 9 months. The role is based at the Broad Oak site and is full-time on-site, contributing to the Defence & Security sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and verification of VHDL code for FPGA devices.
• Provide technical leadership in digital electronics and hardware design.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality hardware solutions.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation.
• Ensure all designs meet required specifications and standards.
• Perform troubleshooting and optimisation of existing hardware designs.

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in digital electronics and hardware engineering.
• Proven experience with VHDL development for FPGA devices.
• Ability to act as a technical lead on design projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• BPSS security clearance.
• Must be available to work full-time on-site.
