Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage diverse projects ensuring efficient planning, execution, and completion. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with client and industry standards, while overseeing the project delivery team and liaising with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership of assigned project(s), overseeing planning, execution, and completion
• Managing the project delivery team to ensure safe project delivery in accordance with quality, schedule, and budget requirements
• Developing and agreeing on overall programme and budgets
• Building effective working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external)
• Implementing appropriate change and risk management processes
• Serving as the contract manager and sole point of contact for clients
• Leading all project meetings such as performance reviews and weekly/monthly project meetings
• Providing comprehensive project reporting (internal or client)
• Supporting the development and implementation of company policies and procedures
• Driving a culture change programme for improved business behaviours and values

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a project leadership role within a shipbuilding environment preferred
• Experience in marine, oil & gas, or fabrication industries may be accepted as an alternative
• Critical contract and client management experience
• Experience in operational roles within shipyards or equivalent environments
• Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
• Degree qualifications or relevant project management training, with a preference for a Bachelor of Engineering degree
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, Primavera 6, and/or Microsoft Project
• Comprehensive understanding of the project cycle
