Our client, a leading organisation in the marine industry, is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team on a fixed term contract until December 2025.

Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage diverse projects ensuring efficient planning, execution, and completion. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with client and industry standards, while overseeing the project delivery team and liaising with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of assigned project(s), overseeing planning, execution, and completion
- Managing the project delivery team to ensure safe project delivery in accordance with quality, schedule, and budget requirements
- Developing and agreeing on overall programme and budgets
- Building effective working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external)
- Implementing appropriate change and risk management processes
- Serving as the contract manager and sole point of contact for clients
- Leading all project meetings such as performance reviews and weekly/monthly project meetings
- Providing comprehensive project reporting (internal or client)
- Supporting the development and implementation of company policies and procedures
- Driving a culture change programme for improved business behaviours and values
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a project leadership role within a shipbuilding environment preferred
- Experience in marine, oil & gas, or fabrication industries may be accepted as an alternative
- Critical contract and client management experience
- Experience in operational roles within shipyards or equivalent environments
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
- Degree qualifications or relevant project management training, with a preference for a Bachelor of Engineering degree
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, Primavera 6, and/or Microsoft Project
- Comprehensive understanding of the project cycle
