Job description

Title: Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker

Location: Manchester & Birmingham

Job Type: Permanent and Contract - both available

Introduction:

Our client, a top player in the aerospace MRO sector, is looking for skilled Aircraft Sheet Metal Workers to join their team on both permanent and contract bases.

You'll focus on aircraft maintenance and repairs, making sure the highest standards of quality and safety are consistently met.

What will I be doing:

As an Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker, you'll report directly to the Workshops Manager, this role is essential in maintaining the operational integrity of the fleet.

My Key Responsibilities:

  • You'll work to a fine tolerance, implementing high standards & modifications from drawings and procedures
  • Remove major aircraft structural sections while stress-jacked
  • You'll adhere to company & manufacturing procedures, while upholding high standards of housekeeping.

What do I need to succeed?

You'll hold a completed apprenticeship in aircraft engineering, production, or live aircraft with relevant experience in live aircraft and structures.

  • You'll have demonstrable aircraft modification/production environment experience with the ability to implementing & carrying out aircraft component modifications
  • The ability to read manufacturers' drawings and Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs)
  • You'll take ownership and responsibility for tasks with excellent hand skills, good organisational skills & communicate effectively within the team
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications is advantageous.
  • You'll have the required eligibility to work in the UK
