Job description
Our client, is seeking a Senior Planning Officer on a contract basis to join their dynamic team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with expertise in Development Management, looking for a challenging and rewarding position in a forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing development management projects from inception to completion
- Assessing planning applications
- Providing expert advice on planning policies and procedures
- Engaging with stakeholders, including local authorities, developers, and the public
- Preparing comprehensive reports and presenting findings to planning committees
- Ensuring all planning activities comply with relevant legislation and regulations
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality planning solutions
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning laws and best practices
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Development Management
- Strong understanding of planning legislation and policy frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in planning or a related field
