Job description

Our client are a small Engineering Consultancy based in Reading. The companies approach is to apply Engineering to Service Support for IT systems and infrastructure.

Taking a Systems Engineering approach to Service Support over the full lifetime of a system. The primary focus is to influence the design of a system, through consideration of individual elements all working collaboratively, making it as supportable as possible to reduce the whole life cost across the predicted lifespan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the design and delivery of IT system service solutions
• Working under the guidance of Project Leads to develop skills and knowledge in Systems Engineering and Service Support
• Utilising creativity and initiative towards problem solving
• Engaging in client-facing activities at customer sites across the UK
• Applying predictive systems modelling and failure analysis during design phases
• Conducting continuous monitoring and trending analysis during service operation

Job Requirements:

• Systems Engineering qualification
• Qualified to degree level (2:1 or above)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience with MS Office
• Able to achieve SC level UK security clearance
• UK Driving Licence

Desirable Skills:

• Maths A-Level or equivalent
• Understanding of MS Excel analysis techniques
