An exciting opportunity has opened up to be at the forefront of next-generation electrified, connected, and intelligent powertrains. We're looking for a passionate E-Drive & Power Electronics Controls Engineer to play a key role in developing cutting-edge solutions that power the vehicles of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of e-drive and power electronics control systems
  • Capture and analyse requirements from multiple stakeholders
  • Design control algorithms & strategies (MATLAB/Simulink) and generate production-ready code
  • Develop system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications
  • Define and implement diagnostic and safety monitoring strategies
  • Develop validation tests for electrical test benches, HiL, and vehicle-level testing
  • Provide technical expertise for investigations and problem-solving activities
  • Support system and hardware DFMEA and functional safety analysis
  • Manage the technical delivery of suppliers

What We're Looking For

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic or Control System Engineering
  • Background in electrical drive control software development
  • Experience developing and testing control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Knowledge of power electronics and electrical drive topologies
  • Familiarity with data logging and calibration tools (e.g., INCA, CANalyzer, CANape)
  • Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD)
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Functional Safety Standard ISO 26262
  • Experience with hybrid and battery electric vehicle systems
  • Understanding of DFMEA at system and sub-system levels
