We're looking for a passionate E-Drive & Power Electronics Controls Engineer to play a key role in developing cutting-edge solutions that power the vehicles of tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of e-drive and power electronics control systems
- Capture and analyse requirements from multiple stakeholders
- Design control algorithms & strategies (MATLAB/Simulink) and generate production-ready code
- Develop system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications
- Define and implement diagnostic and safety monitoring strategies
- Develop validation tests for electrical test benches, HiL, and vehicle-level testing
- Provide technical expertise for investigations and problem-solving activities
- Support system and hardware DFMEA and functional safety analysis
- Manage the technical delivery of suppliers
What We're Looking For
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic or Control System Engineering
- Background in electrical drive control software development
- Experience developing and testing control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink
- Knowledge of power electronics and electrical drive topologies
- Familiarity with data logging and calibration tools (e.g., INCA, CANalyzer, CANape)
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD)
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Functional Safety Standard ISO 26262
- Experience with hybrid and battery electric vehicle systems
- Understanding of DFMEA at system and sub-system levels
