Job description

The client specialises in the design and manufacture of electronic-scanning ground radar systems, providing solutions for national border security, counter-drone, perimeter security, wide area surveillance, and coastline security. Their radars are reputed for reliability and protect lives and critical assets globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate product specifications, test, and build records in the PLM database
• Drafting and ensuring accurate implementation of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
• Providing information to support component and source approval
• Supporting in-house radar testing and assisting design engineers
• Liaising with manufacturing and component suppliers on technical matters
• Advising on supply challenges, including obsolescence issues
• Supporting electronic and mechanical assembly as required

Job Requirements:

• Experience in production and manufacturing sectors
• Understanding of electronic and mechanical engineering processes
• Familiarity with technical drawings (specifications, drawings)
• Experience with PLM systems
• Experience in electronic (including PCBA) and mechanical assembly
• Proficiency in CAD is advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
