Job description

Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a Technical Engineer (Cyber Security) on a contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the cybersecurity efforts within the Transform branch of the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the establishment and execution of NCSC solution architecture service delivery.
• Providing architectural guidance to various NCIA projects, ensuring coherent design and implementation aligned with NCSC cyber security architecture.
• Assisting NCSC architects and SMEs with the production of architectural design elements for implementation projects.
• Offering Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on various cybersecurity topics and collaborating with key NCSC stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• Master's of Science (MSc) degree or equivalent qualification with significant experience in related roles, or Bachelor's of Science (BSc) degree with extensive post-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of architectural methodology and design principles.
• Excellent understanding of cyber security principles, best practices, concepts, and technology.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with good communication and writing skills in English.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in at least three of the following domains:
  • Public Key Infrastructure
  • Cloud Security
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Cyber Security Monitoring
  • Zero Trust
  • Cyber Security Incident Management
  • Vulnerability Assessment
  • Threat Hunting
  • Crypto Management and Logistics
  • Boundary Protection

Desirable:

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or GIAC Security.
• Prior experience with TOGAF and Archimate.
