Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the nuclear sector, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity is site-based at Calleva Park, Reading, and involves working within a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects
• Administer contracts using NEC frameworks
• Provide cost consultancy and assurance across the project lifecycle
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and resolve issues
• Prepare and analyse project costing and financial reports
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Advise on procurement strategies and negotiation of contracts

Job Requirements:

• SC Clearance (or the ability to be put through)
• Extensive NEC contract experience
• Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction or nuclear sector
• Strong understanding of cost management principles
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in quantity surveying or construction management

Contract Details:

• Initial 12-month contract
• Site based at Calleva Park, Reading
• Outside IR35
