Job description

Overview: The role requires ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards while collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful certifications and modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, effective, and technically accurate solutions for cabin design changes, repairs, and modifications, focusing on safety, materials, flammability, emergency equipment, and structural integrity.
  • Ensure that design solutions are developed and approved according to the organization's procedures and in compliance with applicable aviation regulations.
  • Lead certification efforts for aircraft interior modifications, including seating configurations, monuments, galleys, lavatories, in-flight entertainment systems, and layout changes.
  • Develop and manage substantiation data, compliance documentation, and instructions for continued airworthiness.
  • Create design solutions and the necessary certification package, ensuring that all engineering documents are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Interface with internal teams (designers, engineers, project managers) and external stakeholders (customers, vendors, production organizations) to ensure timely, cost-effective implementation of design changes.
  • Ensure the timely release of engineering instructions and drawings, as well as documents required for aircraft return to service after modifications.
  • Continuously work to improve the efficiency of engineering processes, focusing on maximizing reliability and minimizing turnaround time for aircraft maintenance.
  • Record and manage man-hours to meet budget targets and ensure proper invoicing.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong background in aircraft repairs, modifications, troubleshooting, and AOG support.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and planning skills, with experience managing budgets and working cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to lead and drive engineering solutions effectively.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
