Job description

Our client, a prominent player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a SC Cleared Civil Structural Engineer for a contract position based in Sellafield. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in civil structural engineering, particularly within the highly specialised nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and analysing structural components for nuclear facilities
• Ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards and regulations
• Conducting structural assessments and providing technical recommendations
• Supervising and managing construction activities to ensure structural integrity
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives
• Preparing detailed technical reports and documentation
• Performing risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
• Maintaining project timelines and meeting contractual requirements

Job Requirements:

• SC Clearance (mandatory)
• Experience in civil structural engineering, ideally within the nuclear sector
• Strong understanding of nuclear safety standards and compliance regulations
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Capability to produce high-quality technical reports and documentation
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
