Job description

The contract is workshop based and FCAW experience is essential as well as experience working on carbon steel. At present the contract is 4-6 weeks, starting ASAP.

Candidates will be required to undertake an inhouse weld test before moving straight onto the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) on carbon steel
• Ensure high-quality welds in compliance with industry standards
• Work in a 6G welding position, adhering to safety and operational protocols
• Collaborate effectively with the team to achieve project goals
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment as necessary
• Adhere to project timelines and work schedules

Job Requirements:

• FCAW experience ideally in marine/oil & gas or other heavy industries
• Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and protocols
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Rate of pay - £33.48/h Umbrella co or £25/h PAYE plus £3.02/h holiday pay (which can either be accrued or advanced)

Hours - 54 (4 x 12's Mon - Thurs, 6 Fri)
