We're looking for an EV Powertrain Development & Test Engineer to take the lead in testing and developing next-generation electric and hybrid powertrains. 🔍 What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading test and development projects for EV powertrains, including E-machines, E-drive units, batteries, and hybrid engines.
- Designing and managing test programmes for powertrain rigs, dynos, and in-vehicle assessments.
- Analysing data to optimise performance, efficiency, and drivability.
- Developing and setting up test facilities tailored to powertrain testing.
- Collaborating with design, CAE, calibration teams, and key suppliers to establish and refine powertrain targets.
- Creating high-quality reports and presenting findings to various stakeholders.
- Supporting powertrain build activities and training other team members.
🎓 What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (higher qualifications are a plus!).
- Proven experience in development and testing of E-machines within an automotive environment.
- Experience in automotive electrified powertrain development - including E-machines, drivelines, and hybrid engines.
- Knowledge of vehicle attribute engineering and target setting.
- Expertise in instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition equipment, and powertrain test cells.
- Hands-on experience with automotive calibration & data acquisition tools (ETAS INCA/MDA preferred).
- Strong project management skills - planning, executing, and reporting results.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work across cultures and collaborate with global teams.
