About the Company

Join a pioneering organisation at the forefront of cutting-edge defence and aerospace technology. We specialise in the manufacture of Control Actuation Systems, Guidance Electronic Units, and Power Products, delivering critical solutions for global missile programmes. With a strong heritage in GPS Anti-Jamming technology, our products are trusted across land, air, and maritime platforms.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Systems and Hardware Design Authority to join our Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) team. In this role, you will provide expert technical leadership across our Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems and Alternative Navigation Solutions, primarily for military applications.

Working across the full product lifecycle-from requirements capture and system design to testing, qualification, and in-service support-you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Design Authority for our flagship Anti-Jam products, with the opportunity to step into a leadership role over time.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight for systems and hardware engineering activities.
  • Attend customer programme reviews (including biannual visits to Georgia, USA), and lead internal risk, obsolescence, and FRACAS reviews.
  • Oversee production support and obsolescence management, ensuring product performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, providing input on systems analysis and hardware design.
  • Support bidding and proposal efforts, contributing to the development of next-generation products.
  • Work in a hands-on laboratory environment, assisting with product testing and validation.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience across the systems engineering lifecycle (from requirements to project completion).
  • Proven ability to generate technical documentation, including requirements capture and performance declarations.
  • Understanding of change and configuration management in a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
  • STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Confidence to provide technical sign-off on electronic solutions.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of GNSS systems and receiver characteristics.
  • Experience with RF, Antenna, and Digital Hardware design and testing.
  • Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS, SysML, UML, and configuration management tools.
  • Modelling and algorithm development experience (MATLAB/Simulink).
