Job description

Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers to join their dynamic teams in Leeds and Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, and drainage systems
• Develop concept, outline, and detailed designs in accordance with client specifications and industry regulations
• Carry out hydraulic analysis, earthworks design, and structural assessments related to water projects
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including MEICA, process, and geotechnical engineers
• Ensure designs meet health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align project requirements

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE) is desirable
• Experience in civil design for water infrastructure projects
• Experience in pipelines, drainage, earthworks, and reinforced concrete structures
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and/or InfoWorks ICM
• Familiarity with UK water industry standards (Sewers for Adoption, DMRB, and Eurocodes)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects
