Our client, an Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Project Manager to join them on an initial 6-month contract at their site in Brighton.

• Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing to undergo basic security checks.
• 6-month initial contract.
• 4-5 days per week onsite in Brighton.
• Rates are open to discussion, inside IR35.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Taking a leading role in the delivery of key strategic business programmes
• Total ownership of the programme budgets, resources, requirements, risks and on time delivery
• Leading the creation and implementation of the Integrated programme schedule involving multidisciplinary teams, which may include sub-contractors
• Providing support and direction to the team on programmatic issues, however engaging at a working level with the team when required
• Motivating and coaching team members
• Manage bids & proposals through submission to the customer

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

• At least 5 years' experience working within a project/programme management environment or equivalent experience
• Formal external qualification/accreditation to managing successful projects/programmes or equivalent project/programme management experience to highlight competency
• Knowledge of product design and development governance and qualification
• Excellent commercial and project/programme management skills
• Evidence of excellent client and stakeholder relationships and ability to develop new ones
• Developing project plans and schedules from first principles using Microsoft Project
• SC cleared or the willingness to be cleared as required by the role

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

• A Degree or HNC in an aerospace/defence engineering discipline is highly desirable
• A working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Knowledge & experience of a successful PMO bid & proposal management
• Managing programme management reviews
