Principal Engineer (CRE-D) - Leading Consultancy

Our client, a top-tier consultancy, is seeking a Principal Engineer (CRE-D) to lead and deliver complex rail and infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role, responsible for acting as the Contractor's Responsible Engineer - Design (CRE-D), ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and innovation in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage design teams, ensuring compliance with rail industry standards.
• Act as the CRE-D, providing technical assurance across multidisciplinary projects.
• Oversee design development, approvals, and risk management.
• Engage with stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies to drive project success.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in railway infrastructure design, with CRE-D accreditation.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) preferred.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical expertise.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects in a consultancy or contractor setting.
