Job description

Our client, a leading provider in the water sector, is currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on clean water infrastructure projects for major clients. The position is a long-term contract, offering remote working with occasional site or office visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clean water infrastructure designs, including pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment works.
• Develop concept, outline, and detailed designs for both infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets.
• Conduct hydraulic analysis, pipeline design, and route selection to optimise water networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (WIS, DCG, British Standards) and water company specifications.
• Support feasibility studies, optioneering, and risk assessments.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in clean water design within the UK water sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoWorks WS Pro, or similar software.
• Understanding of UK water regulations, CDM 2015, and asset management principles.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
