Job Title: Senior Project Planner
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Ealing
Flexible Opportunities: Hybrid
Working: Office-based with occasional travel to UK company sites (2-3 days onsite depending on project needs)
Due to the nature of this role, you'll need to have, or be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance, in order to apply - we are only able to consider sole British Nationals due to programme security restrictions.

As a Senior Project Planner, you'll track project performance, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and manage resource allocation and potential risks.
What will I be doing?
You'll apply and report on Earned Value Management (EVM) & Critical Path Analysis (CPA), implementing best practice tools and processes for planning improvements while ensuring project control processes are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the quality and integrity of project plans, accurate time, cost, and resource analysis
- Compile and maintain up-to-date reports to provide accurate information to the project manager and team
- Track project performance and confirm data accuracy, conducting regular project control reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support planning and resource management, resolving issues proactively
- Manage risk and opportunity, and support bids and proposal planning
What do I need to succeed?
To be successful, you'll need:
- A Degree-qualified or relevant qualification (e.g., APM certification)
- Experience working within safety-regulated environments
- A full understanding of the APM Body of Knowledge + Full membership of the APM
- Proven project planning experience, preferably within aerospace and defence
- Familiarity with Planning structures (WBS, PBS)
- Advanced IT skills; proficient in MSP or Primavera P6
- Working knowledge of Lifecycle Management (LCM)
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial, but isn't essential:
- Prior knowledge or understanding of EVM, CPA, and QSRA tools and techniques
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements
- Any work experience in Naval, Maritime, Defence or Aerospace industries
