Our client, a prominent player in the highway sector, is seeking a diligent and experienced General Foreman to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery of groundwork projects, with a particular emphasis on highway maintenance and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all on-site groundwork activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Help assist with site preparation, site setup and equipment
• Assist and manage roadworks being completed by heavy equipment and machinery
• Travel to site to help assist and manage works being delivered within
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders
• Problem-solve on-site issues and provide leadership to the team

Job Requirements:

• Experience in highway construction and maintenance
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in managing and operating construction equipment
• An understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to travel to various site locations
