What will I be doing?
- Cost Estimating & Tendering - Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civil works, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Procurement & Contract Management - Lead the procurement process for civil packages, including creating bills of quantities and contract documentation.
- Budget & Financial Control - Manage project budgets from start to finish, keeping a close eye on financials and providing accurate forecasts.
- Subcontractor & Change Management - Oversee subcontractor accounts, assess progress claims, and manage changes to the project scope.
- Reporting & Risk Management - Produce commercial reports, track project progress, identify risks, and find opportunities to save costs.
What do I need to succeed?
To thrive in this role, you'll need a degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with experience in a similar role, ideally within civil or modular construction. You should have a strong understanding of various construction contracts and procurement methods. Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel is essential, with experience in tools like Cubit or CostX being a bonus. You'll also need the flexibility to travel to project sites across Ireland and mainland Europe as needed.
