MEP Design Package Lead - Major Transport Project
Location: London / Hybrid

We are currently seeking a MEP Design Package Lead with a strong background in rail and infrastructure projects to join the design management team on one of the UK's most significant and high-profile transport programmes.
This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident leading complex MEP design packages from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design coordination and delivery of MEP packages across a major rail project.
• Manage multiple stakeholders including design consultants, contractors, and client-side teams.
• Ensure all MEP design activities align with programme requirements, technical standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive the integration of MEP systems within wider infrastructure elements (e.g. stations, tunnels, rail systems).
• Review and manage design deliverables, interface management, and change control.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance across the full project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Design Package Lead or Senior MEP Engineer on major infrastructure or rail projects.
• Strong knowledge of rail-specific MEP systems (power, lighting, fire, HVAC, comms, etc).
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across design and construction stages.
• Familiarity with relevant design codes, standards, and project assurance procedures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
