Introduction
Are you ready to be part of something big in the world of data centres? Our client is on the lookout for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team in Helsinki. As a specialist in delivering turnkey data centre solutions across Europe, they take care of everything from design and construction to full-scale commissioning covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical services.
What will I be doing?
- Getting hands-on with commissioning: You'll be actively involved in the commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Keeping things running to plan: From reviewing and executing commissioning protocols to troubleshooting and diagnostics, you'll make sure all systems perform exactly as designed.
- Making quality your priority: You'll manage the quality of on-site service and commissioning activities, always aiming for the highest standards.
- Putting safety first: Health and safety is non-negotiable-you'll follow strict guidelines to protect yourself and those around you during every stage of commissioning.
- Owning the paperwork (and the process): You'll oversee and track all project commissioning documentation, witness vendor commissioning, and carry out tagging procedures to secure those all-important sign-offs.
What do I need to succeed?
- You've got the credentials: Whether it's a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a mechanical trade, you've backed it up with solid training and hands-on experience.
- You've been here before: You bring proven experience in a similar role-ideally within the construction space-so you know how things work on-site.
- You're a natural problem-solver: You can analyse issues, think on your feet, and take decisive action to keep things moving forward.
- You know your systems: You're familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practices and quality work management systems, and you know how to apply them day to day.
- You're a people person on-site: Building strong working relationships with other contractors is second nature to you-you're a team player who keeps communication smooth and professional.
