Job description

Our client, a leading company in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Senior Track Engineer for a long-term contract role in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large infrastructure project, with a hybrid working option available. The role falls inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering activity on the project and support design reviews
• Interface with other disciplines
• Develop the plan for engineering works and advise on current schemes
• Ensure Work Package Plans and Task Briefs are produced and in place
• Mentor other engineers

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role on previous rail projects
• Excellent knowledge of track renewals
• Strong understanding of plain line and S&C
• Previous experience as a P-Way Technical Officer or Senior Engineer
• Holds a PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification
• Ideally holds Stressing L1, L2, and L3 qualifications (not essential)
• Valid UK driving licence
