Location: Stevenage (2-3 days per week onsite)

Duration: 12 month contract

Rate: £60ph UMB (Inside IR35)

Role details:
Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security industry, is on the lookout for a Senior Engineering Project Manager to join their Electronics Engineering department on a contract basis. This role encapsulates the essence of leadership within project management, focusing on the development and delivery of intricate electronic sub-systems from initial concept through to full-scale production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing complex and high-priority projects, ensuring delivery aligns with time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Guiding the design and development processes of sophisticated electronic systems.
  • Driving project delivery strategy among the engineering project management team.
  • Managing project phases from inception and initiation to manufacturing, qualification, and final customer delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in Project Management best practices including Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Compliance Management, Configuration Management, and Earned Value Management.
  • Experience in delivering significant projects or programmes within budget and on schedule.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management from conception through to customer delivery.
  • Strong engineering development background, especially in complex systems or electronic units.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
