Job description
My client are keen to appoint an experienced Commercial Lead to support the team in overseeing the commercial management of housing asset projects, including cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time. You will ensure compliance with construction contract law, council policies, and procurement procedures to maintain legal and regulatory standards. You will also develop and implement effective cost management strategies using various forms of contracts, such as JCT and NEC, to optimise project
Accountabilities
- To ensure accurate commercial reporting and effective budget management.
- To implement commercial controls to guarantee precise valuation of projects and forecasted completion costs.
- To conduct detailed cost analysis, options appraisal, and provide recommendations.
- To manage the commercial mechanisms and contractual requirements of all contracts.
- To analyse and manage the financial aspects of all contracts and budgets.
- To develop and implement strategic planning strategies to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.
- To track and monitor performance across the service to ensure adherence to agreed standards and targets.
- To establish systems to control project costs and budgets, ensuring completion within agreed time and quality standards.
- To prepare and present monthly reports on cost, progress, and performance, analysing data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
The Experience You Will Bring
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial qualification
