Job description
West Midlands Combined Authority is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their dynamic HTP sector team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in supporting the administration and coordination of projects within the highway disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking minutes and key actions at all project meetings
- Updating and monitoring all project trackers and action logs
- Working with the Project Manager to support the creation of agendas for each project meeting
- Distribution of project and meeting papers to the appropriate team members
- Collaborating with the Programme Co-ordinator to manage diaries and schedule meetings
- Organising project meetings as required
- Liaising with the Construction Manager to create relief event letters where applicable
- Providing additional support for Document Control, especially during Entry into Service
- Ensuring all documentation is centrally saved and the filing system is maintained, easily accessible and understandable
- Updating and distributing information to Network Rail
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the rail or highway sectors
- Understanding of project management principles and practices
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in updating and monitoring project trackers
- Ability to take accurate meeting minutes and actions
- Experience with document control processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
