Job description

Our client, a prominent organisation in the marine sector, is currently seeking a Production Controller to join their team. This contract position involves managing production activities and ensuring smooth operation within the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Operations Manager
• Day-to-day management of live production schedules
• Assisting in production activity control to meet business and financial objectives
• Working collaboratively with production supervisors and planners to achieve schedule adherence
• Reviewing production plans to identify and report potential risks to the Manager
• Monitoring material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Leading stand-up meetings with production supervisors

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Essential knowledge of SAP
• Machining industry experience
• Understanding of production systems such as MRP/ERP
• Familiarity with product structures like BOM and routings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Contract information:

• Intial 6 month contract
• Possible Temp - Perm
• Standard 37 hour week
• Overtime available
• Rate dependant on experience
