Job description
Job Title: Graduate Bridge Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Bridge Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic infrastructure team. In this role, you will assist in the design, analysis, and delivery of bridge and civil structures across a range of transport infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer looking to expand their technical skills and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and analysis of highway and railway bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other related structures.

Support senior engineers with calculations, CAD drawings, and structural modeling.

Conduct site inspections and support construction supervision when required.

Prepare technical documentation including design reports, risk assessments, and specifications.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards (e.g. Eurocodes etc.), and client requirements.

Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to project delivery from concept through to construction.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).

1-2 years of post-graduate experience in bridge or structural engineering.

Familiarity with design codes such as Eurocode, AASHTO, or relevant national standards.

Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MIDAS, LUSAS, or similar.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good written and verbal communication.

Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn and take on new challenges.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with BIM workflows and 3D modeling.

Understanding of sustainability principles in infrastructure design.

Previous involvement in large-scale infrastructure projects.
