Job description

Our client, a leading retailer, is currently seeking a Service Transition Lead to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the successful transition of new and changing services into the operational environment
• Developing and executing service transition plans in line with IT Service Management best practices
• Collaborating with project managers, service managers, and support teams to ensure smooth transitions
• Managing stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the transition process
• Ensuring all necessary documentation and training materials are developed and delivered
• Identifying and mitigating risks associated with service transitions
• Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of service transition activities
• Providing continuous improvement recommendations for service transition processes

Job Requirements:

• Experience in IT Service Management, particularly within a retail environment
• Strong understanding of service transition methodologies and best practices
• Proven ability to manage and lead service transition activities
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• High level of proficiency in developing and executing transition plans
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Relevant IT qualifications or certifications, such as ITIL, are highly desirable
