Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementing, and managing Resident Parking Schemes (RPS) across specific areas of the city.
- Ensuring schemes are efficient, legally compliant, and responsive to the needs of residents, businesses, and stakeholders.
- Developing schemes, engaging with stakeholders, and conducting consultations.
- Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance with relevant legislation such as the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
- Managing financial oversight and budgeting for projects.
- Monitoring performance and reporting to senior decision-makers.
- Balancing multiple projects and setting up organisational plans to manage workloads effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in parking management, highways, transport planning, or local authority operations.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing reports for senior decision-makers.
