Job description

Our client, is currently seeking a Principal Planner on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex and large-scale development projects and will be responsible for signing off delegated reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing detailed and strategic development proposals from inception to completion
• Reviewing and signing off delegated reports
• Providing expert advice on development management
• Conducting site visits and assessments as required
• Ensuring compliance with relevant planning regulations and legislation
• Representing the organisation in meetings and public consultations
• Managing planning application processes and formal objections

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in development management and town planning
• Significant experience dealing with complex and strategic developments
• Strong understanding of planning regulations and legislation
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritise effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in managing stakeholder relationships
• Relevant degree in town planning or related field

Work Arrangement:

• 6-month contract
• 38 hours per week
• Inside IR35
