Job description
Our client, a leading company in the construction sector, is currently seeking a Project Planner to join their team on a major data centre project in Hamina, Finland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and managing project schedules, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely project completion, while capturing any variations.
- Recommending modifications to improve efficiency and achieve project milestones.
- Preparing short- and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from key stakeholders.
- Conducting regular site walks to assist site teams with planning matters.
- Identifying potential risks and deviations that may hinder the project schedule and implementing corrective actions.
- Gathering data and incorporating any changes in work scope, updating schedules, and developing reliable schedule forecasts with the project team's support.
- Providing regular progress reports to all site teams, highlighting concerns, and developing mitigating measures to avoid delays.
- Hosting progress planning meetings with internal and external teams to recalibrate plans in line with progress.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in scheduling large, complex industrial and capital improvement projects.
- Experience working on data centre projects.
- Proficiency in planning software including Primavera P6, MS Project, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively at a high level and represent the company in client and contractor meetings.
- While a 3rd level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical fields is preferable, it is not essential.
