Our client, a forward-thinking company in the IT sector, is currently seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in Java to join their newly established Core Quote Process team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the modernisation of the online quote process
• Fostering a clear separation between back-end services and front-end digital journeys
• Aligning the quote processes more closely with the Core policy administration system
• Developing and maintaining the aggregator quote processing, dynamic pricing, and public quote API
• Collaborating with third parties to support the development of their own Quote & Buy journeys
• Ensuring improved process reliability and reduced technology risk
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to the continuous improvement of coding standards
• Attending the office in Worcester twice a week

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java programming
• Experience in developing and maintaining backend services
• Understanding of API integration and management
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with the Core policy administration systems and online quote processes is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team
