Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled Rail Construction Manager - Civils for a long-term contract on a large infrastructure project based in Manchester. This role, deemed Inside IR35, offers a hybrid working arrangement but will require work on site, including nights and weekends when necessary. The position is set to commence in February.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote safe working practices
• Ensure accurate recording of all site records and monitor programme and project costs
• Assist in planning works, ensuring all labour, plant, and materials are in place for site works
• Prepare site paperwork including task briefs and work package plans
• Supervise site works and collaborate closely with sub-contractors
• Carry out performance reviews of direct reports

Job Requirements:

• Experience in rail projects as a site manager and construction manager
• Hold PTS and ideally COSS competency
• Hold SMSTS competency
• Computer literate
