Job description

This role is essential to ensuring that surfaces are appropriately prepped for painting and spraying, which is critical to maintaining the high-quality standards of our client's marine craft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking
• Ensuring all surfaces are free from defects before painting begins
• Maintaining a clean and organised work space
• Adhering to health and safety regulations while handling materials and equipment
• Collaborating with the painting team to ensure smooth work flow

Job Requirements:

• Experience in paint preparation, ideally within the marine industry
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
• Knowledge of health and safety practices related to paint prepping
• Good communication skills
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job

Contract Details:

• Contract duration: Initial 2 months
• Hourly rate: Dependant on experience (c.£15.50-£17/h PAYE plus holiday pay)
• 42 hour standard week
• Based in a state of the art all weather build and repair facility
