Job description
Our client, a prominent consultancy within the water sector, is currently seeking a Hydraulic Network Modeller to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilising Infoworks ICM models to assess system performance and identify effective solutions to resolve identified deficiencies.
- Assessing hydraulic models of urban drainage networks (foul and surface water systems) using Infoworks ICM.
- Conducting capacity assessments with Infoworks ICM models.
- Identifying and developing solutions for urban drainage issues using Infoworks ICM.
- Undertaking hydraulic checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client specifications, and UK best practice.
- Collaborating with internal and client design teams to develop capital schemes.
- Preparing technical reports.
- Supervising, supporting, and developing junior modelling staff.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge and understanding of InfoWorks ICM.
- Experience working for a UK Water Company.
- Experience in modelling and designing engineering schemes.
- Proficiency in using GIS software (ARCGIS, MapInfo, or QGIS).
- Competency in MS Word and Excel.
