Job description
PMO Planner as part of a central PMO function under a global programme. The global programme has multiple reporting projects, started in May 2025 and is expected to run until the end of 2027, to deliver £100s million benefits over its lifetime.
1) Ownership and Management of the Integrated Plan
* Owns the Integrated Plan
* Management of the key planning tools under Change Control: milestone plan, anchor plan, high-level roadmaps, entity roadmap.
* Ensures that all plans are aligned
* Develops and Maintains the plan based on:
1) approved management documents (e.g. Project Definition Documents),
2) Output of plan Change Requests
3) Highlight Reports for the status of milestones
* Performs Critical Path Analysis based on the Integrated Plan as required
Note: Currently the plans are based on xcl and ppt, it is expected Planisware PPM tool will be used, as well as BI reports.
2) Planning Input to the PMO Reporting Cycle
* Produces the Highlight Report templates each month, pre-populated with baselines from the Integrated Plan and Plan Change Requests for the cycle.
* Produce the milestone "Plan on a Page" based on the Integrated Plan and the status of milestones each cycle
* Produce Roadmaps derived from the Integrated plan as required
3) Plan Change Control
* Assess the impact of changes (whether triggered by Change Request or new projects) on the Integrated Plan
* Manage the Change Request pipeline and workflow through a Change Request Tracker.
* Assist in the Identification of Change Impact Assessors
* Preparation of Change Control material for the relevant Governance Meetings
Generally:
* Ensure close relationships with other members of the PMO community for integration of processes - e.g. reporting, dependency management…
* Develop and Maintain the related planning standards/ guidelines and documentation related to the above activities and toolset.
* Train members of the team and PMO Community of practice on the above tools
* Look at continuous improvement opportunities across the processes and toolsets.
* Support on Project Governance processes as and when required.
