Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Surveyor to join their Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) Team on a contract basis. This role plays a crucial part in delivering essential services to residents and offers flexibility, making it ideal for professionals with a strong background in housing adaptations and local authority work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting home visits to assess and survey properties
• Preparing technical schedules of work, specifications, and scaled drawings using AutoCAD
• Developing tender packages and obtaining quotations from approved contractors
• Coordinating and submitting applications for planning permission, building regulations, and party wall agreements where applicable

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering DFGs
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation
• Strong understanding of planning and building regulations
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
• Previous experience working within a local authority setting is highly desirable

Workload & Flexibility:

• 5-10 surveys per month
• Site visits are required, but the remainder of the work can be completed remotely
• Flexible working pattern available
• You could look to complete your site visits over a couple of days then work remotely for the remainder of the month
