Electronics Engineer - Innovative R&D | Hybrid | Up to £75,000

Our client, a progressive and fast-growing organisation based near Lymington, is looking for a talented Electronics Engineer to join their dynamic R&D team. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-tech, cutting-edge product development for global applications in demanding industries.

The Role

As an Electronics Engineer, you'll be deeply involved in the full product lifecycle-from concept design to prototyping, testing, and implementation. Your work will enhance both new and existing products to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and innovation.

This is a hybrid position requiring on site support/presence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design low-power analogue and digital electronic systems at the system level

  • Create detailed schematics and hardware documentation from concept to manufacture

  • Conduct fault-finding and root cause analysis, proposing effective solutions

  • Perform FMEA and MTBF assessments

  • Manage component obsolescence and recommend suitable replacements

  • Work with external test houses for compliance and certification

  • Define and execute test strategies across various test classes

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated, well-engineered solutions

  • Maintain accurate technical and project documentation


About You

  • Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or related field

  • Strong experience in system-level design of analogue/digital low-power hardware

  • Skilled in designing and testing embedded systems

  • Competent in writing embedded software for test and validation purposes

  • Knowledgeable in EMC compliance and certification processes

  • Experienced with simulation tools for design verification

  • Proactive, well-organised, and solutions-driven

  • Excellent communicator, able to convey complex technical ideas clearly

  • Collaborative team player with mentoring abilities

  • Broad understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and science


Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

  • Hybrid working: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote

  • Holiday: 24 days + Bank Holidays + Christmas shutdown (3 days from allocation)
