Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with preparing consent applications for major infrastructure projects
• Taking responsibility for specific aspects of projects such as drafting reports and meeting with clients or key stakeholders
• Managing the delivery of smaller projects to meet client objectives and timescales
• Collaborating with town planners, engineers, environmental teams, and communication specialists
• Leading the planning consenting process from feasibility, pre-application, examination, and implementation phases

Job Requirements:

• Degree and/or masters in Town Planning and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)
• Good knowledge of relevant planning legislation and policy
• Experience producing outputs necessary for infrastructure consenting or planning policy production
• Ability to develop working relationships with town planners and other disciplines both within the organisation and externally
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex issues concisely, write reports, present effectively, and manage client relationships
• Proven project management skills with a successful track record in planning and delivering projects or tasks
• Experience in commercial and financial management for profitable project management
• Business development experience, including successful bidding for work
