Job description


This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety of aviation operations through meticulous investigations of incidents, accidents, and other safety events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting investigations into aviation occurrences, incidents, or accidents
  • Deploying immediately to the aircraft/incident site, which may involve overseas travel
  • Making safety recommendations to reduce the probability of recurrence
  • Monitoring aviation incident reporting and proposing investigations when necessary
  • Contributing to the development of processes and procedures related to investigations
  • Liaising with stakeholders to address safety-related issues found in the investigation process
  • Managing the Event Review Group (ERG) process
  • Actively supporting and promoting the Company's Safety Management System (SMS)

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified aviation safety investigator
  • Experience in the aviation industry in either a safety, flight operations, or engineering role
  • Experience working with SMS and aviation regulations
  • Experience managing the implementation of new processes and procedures

  • Self-motivated, assertive, and resilient with the ability to hold their own
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Experienced in presenting information, both written and verbal
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Computer literate, proficient in MS Office Software and other Company Software as required
  • Maintain high levels of integrity, work ethic, and confidentiality, using discretion appropriately
  • Flexible to accommodate the reactive nature of the work
