Job description
This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety of aviation operations through meticulous investigations of incidents, accidents, and other safety events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting investigations into aviation occurrences, incidents, or accidents
- Deploying immediately to the aircraft/incident site, which may involve overseas travel
- Making safety recommendations to reduce the probability of recurrence
- Monitoring aviation incident reporting and proposing investigations when necessary
- Contributing to the development of processes and procedures related to investigations
- Liaising with stakeholders to address safety-related issues found in the investigation process
- Managing the Event Review Group (ERG) process
- Actively supporting and promoting the Company's Safety Management System (SMS)
Job Requirements:
- Qualified aviation safety investigator
- Experience in the aviation industry in either a safety, flight operations, or engineering role
- Experience working with SMS and aviation regulations
- Experience managing the implementation of new processes and procedures

- Self-motivated, assertive, and resilient with the ability to hold their own
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external customers at all levels
- Experienced in presenting information, both written and verbal
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Computer literate, proficient in MS Office Software and other Company Software as required
- Maintain high levels of integrity, work ethic, and confidentiality, using discretion appropriately
- Flexible to accommodate the reactive nature of the work
