Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Engineer to join our Calibration and Maintenance (C&M) Team. This role is based within a dynamic manufacturing environment and focuses on the servicing, calibration, and maintenance of a wide range of electrical and electronic test equipment - including unique Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate test and measuring equipment in accordance with technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide technical support and advice to engineering and production functions.
  • Maintain and repair electronic equipment to component level.
  • Create accurate and traceable calibration and maintenance records.
  • Perform safety system testing in line with procedural guidelines.
  • Support the servicing of STTE, ensuring readiness for production and repair phases.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and coordinate resolutions with relevant support teams.
  • Represent the C&M team in cross-functional meetings, offering expert input when required.
  • Oversee test facility commissioning, configuration control, and equipment acceptance processes.
  • Carry out calibration, repair, and installation activities at both internal and customer locations across the UK and Europe.

About You:

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is desirable.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player with a passion for electronics and technical problem-solving.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Willing to travel to UK and European sites as required.
