Urgent request from our client to acquire the services of a Risk Engineer with the following skills.

Key Responsibilities 1. • Management of the Grid (OFTO) Risk / Opportunity Register – Candidate will be supported by Risk Manager in meetings however candidate will be responsible for all maintenance and all additions to the Risk Register, to fulfill this the following work will be required; • Carry out Risk / Opportunity identification sessions with packages to ensure latest information is always available to the Risk Manager and the project contingency figure is correctly represented. It is expected that techniques such as mind mapping, programme walk through etc. will be used to ensure this is achieved. • Carry out regular updates of the Risk / Opportunity Register to ensure that latest Risk / Opportunity position is always reflected. • General management of the Risk / Opportunity register as a document, ensuring the document remains in good order, is closed out and is submitted to document control at month end. 2. • Information that must be captured to ensure Risk Register is correctly completed, working with package manager in all instances; • Risk / Opportunity definition – ensuring that the Risk / Opportunity are correctly detailed including, categorisation, title, detailed description. • Quantification – from the Risk / Opportunity defined, quantifying as accurately as possible with information available, quantification will include defining a MIN, MID, MAX case with an applied % probability, this will apply both financially and to schedule delay quantification will be carried out for pre and post mitigation scenarios. • Mitigation - explore, understand and detail mitigation options available for Risk, capture required actions and cost of mitigation as required. Ensure that progress monitored and any reduction of Risk is reflected. • Risk / Opportunity Timing – Capturing timing of when Risk / Opportunity are expected to occur, timing for when mitigation should be carried out and when next update will be available. The candidate will be expected to use this information prioritise and focus works. 3. • Preparation of reporting; • Candidate will use data from Risk / Opportunity register in order to produce monthly package reports, this reporting will include key numbers and charts to ensure that tracking of open, closed Risks and opportunities, tracking package contingency figure, tracking split of risk by category is monitored and reported. • Candidate will also be required to support the Grid (OFTO) Risk Manager in completion of Detailed Risk Report as required. • Candidate will support Grid (OFTO) Risk Manager in completion of slide decks for monthly meetings and ad-hoc meetings as required. Key Deliverables 1. Grid (OFTO) Risk Register – Formally submitted on a monthly basis. 2. Submission of Quantified Contingency figure to Grid (OFTO) Risk Manager Formally submitted on a monthly basis. 3. Produce monthly Risk and Opportunity reporting; a. Package level reporting – primarily number and charts driven, tracking open, closed Risks and Opportunities. Tracking package contingency figure. Tracking split of risk by category. b. Support Grid (OFTO) Risk Manager in generation of project Risk / Opportunity report. 4. Updating of policy and procedure as required. 5. General support to the Grid (OFTO) Risk Manager as required. Key Criteria 1. Essential: Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook 2. Essential: Flexibility and willingness to travel on a monthly basis to locations including Spain / Scotland and England as the Project team is split across these locations. The team will be brought together in one location on a monthly basis, candidate will then need to travel to locations as required to ensure Risk Register is up-to date as required by the Grid (OFTO) Risk Manager. 3. Essential: Personal characteristics a. Organised with good planning and time management skills b. Analytical problem solver c. Persistent and self-motivated d. Strong communicator, able to communicate with team members at all levels 4. Essential: Strong numerical skills with ability to quantify scenarios with logic applied. 5. Essential: Ability to interpret Gantt charts produced from Primavera. 6. Essential: 2 years of experience within Risk Field on large Energy or Infrastructure project/s. 7. Preferable: Electromechanical knowledge.
